In a commendable initiative, students of Shaheen Degree College recently united to take a solemn pledge against the consumption of tobacco. This event, coordinated under the guidance of Madam Afra Naaz, the college Principal, marked a crucial step towards fostering a healthier and more responsible generation, especially in the wake of the alarming rise in tobacco consumption among the youth of India.
The significance of such a pledge cannot be overstated, considering the detrimental health effects associated with tobacco use. Tobacco is a major contributor to various life-threatening illnesses, including cardiovascular diseases, respiratory disorders, and various forms of cancer. The youth, being the future pillars of our society, must recognize the gravity of these health risks and actively choose a path of well-being.
